Technical Analyst

The Technical Analyst (TA) is an intermediate programmer/analyst responsible for the evaluation of client data sources, data and IT environments in support of the deployment of PureShare metrics and reporting solutions. The TA will work with requirements provided by a business metrics analyst to create automated, web-based metrics and report management solutions using PureShare's frameworks and other development environments.

Specific job requirements are:

• Ability to understand a client’s IT infrastructure with emphasis on data sources, database connectivity and remote access technologies
• Ability to create web-based solutions using PureShare products
• Ability to work in a team to bridge the gap between business needs and technological solutions
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple projects and clients
• Ability to recognize the need for, and formulate, repeatable solutions
• Ability to travel

Expected skills include:

• A minimum of three years' experience in databases and web technologies
• Client-facing experience is an asset
• Proficient in HTML, SQL and analysis of database schemas
• Skilled at web design, knowledge of AJAX and web services is an asset
• Three-year college diploma or degree is preferred
• Excellent communications skills (verbal, presentation, documentation)
• An understanding of quality assurance best practices
• An understanding of current Business Intelligence tools
