Project Manager

The Project Manager (PM) manages the successful delivery of small to medium size Professional Services projects from project win through to customer acceptance and production.  The PM is responsible for the development and execution of a detailed project implementation plan and ensures that implementation activities are coordinated with PureShare and customer resources.  The PM acts as the primary interface to the customer and all PureShare personnel associated with each engagement. Occasional travel is required.

Principal duties and responsibilities are:

  • Prioritizes and manages multiple concurrent projects and clients.
  • Develops and delivers the project plan and the detailed Statement of Work (SOW) developed with the Account Manager for the customer, based upon customer and PureShare requirements.
  • Creates goals and milestones within each project to ensure PureShare’s commitments to the customer are achieved.
  •  Prepares and maintains clear and concise activity/progress/time recording metrics in accordance with PureShare’s standards.
  • Ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the customer and the account team.
  • Communicates to all PureShare concerned parties any existing or potential customer escalation issues.  Understands and proactively follows the PureShare escalation and change control process.
  • Stays abreast of current industry trends and new technologies through professional associations, trade journals, networking, and associated training and seminars.
  • Provides a single point of contact during the project lifecycle for all aspects of the engagement.  Ensures strong and seamless relationships by maintaining communications about the project to the team: sales, customers, delivery personnel, and management.
  • Follows and contributes to PureShare project standards, processes, and best practices.

Expected skills include:

  • A minimum of five years experience as a Project Manager in a Professional Services or Consulting company environment
  • Related degree or three-year college diploma preferred
  • PMI’s Project Management Professional certification is preferred
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal, presentation, documentation)
  • A thorough understanding of software project processes and best practices
